Sheikh Hasina and Rishi Sunak share a meaningful moment at the G20 viral image


A photograph featuring UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, captured during his visit to Delhi for the G20 Summit, has gained significant attention on the internet. The image, which has gone viral, portrays Sunak in a humble gesture, kneeling on one knee while engaging in a conversation with his counterpart, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

This candid moment between Sunak and Hasina during their cordial interaction in Delhi has been widely shared on social media platforms. The photograph showcases Sunak in a barefoot posture, seated on one knee next to Sheikh Hasina, who is comfortably sitting on a wooden chair.

Numerous users on social media have posted and retweeted this photograph, with captions praising Sunak for his humility. One user, in particular, highlighted Sunak's gesture by stating, "Big man don't have ego! Prime Minister Rishi Sunak of the UK sat down on the floor to match the comfort - in a tete-a-tete with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."

On a different note, Sunak, accompanied by his wife Akshata Murty, paid a visit to the Akshardham Temple in east Delhi during his stay in India. He also performed aarti at the temple. Sunak had previously expressed his pride in being a Hindu and had mentioned his intention to visit a temple during his visit to India. Following the temple visit, he proceeded to Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

During the G20 Summit, Sunak held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the progress of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations. He expressed optimism that the remaining issues would soon be resolved, leading to the signing of a mutually beneficial FTA. In response, PM Modi extended an invitation to Sunak for a bilateral visit to continue discussions, an invitation that Sunak accepted while congratulating PM Modi on the successful G20 Summit.
