On Friday, actor Gautami Tadimalla made the decision to resign from the BJP, the political party she had been affiliated with for the past 25 years. Her departure from the party was attributed to her claims of a "lack of support" and alleged collusion by certain members of the party with an individual who had reportedly swindled her.
In a post shared on X, Gautami publicly disclosed her decision to leave the party. She conveyed that she had reached an "unimaginable crisis point" in her life, and with a "very heavy heart and deep disillusionment," she formally announced her resignation from the BJP.
The actor proceeded to make accusations against a person named C Alagappan. She stated that he had established a connection with her 20 years ago when he recognized her "vulnerability and isolation." At the time, Gautami was not only an orphan who had recently lost both her parents but also a single mother with a young child. She revealed that she had entrusted Alagappan with the management of her properties, including the sale of her lands. To her dismay, Gautami recently discovered that he had defrauded her while pretending to embrace her and her daughter as part of his family.
Gautami further alleged that during the ongoing legal proceedings, she felt shattered by the lack of support from the BJP. She claimed that specific senior members of the party were assisting Alagappan in evading justice.
She expressed her hope that she would eventually attain justice with the assistance of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, the police department, and the judicial system. Gautami emphasized the pain and sorrow she experienced when resigning from the BJP but clarified that her departure was a firm decision driven by her pursuit of justice for herself and the future of her daughter, especially as a single parent and a woman facing this challenge alone.
