After saying "Jai Shri Ram" on stage, a college student from Ghaziabad requests to leave

At ABES Engineering College in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a student was asked to leave the stage during a cultural fest after responding to 'Jai Shri Ram' chants from fellow students. A video of the incident, widely shared on social media, depicted a teacher instructing the student to exit the stage.

The incident occurred during the college's cultural festival, and as the student approached the stage, he was greeted with 'Jai Shri Ram' chants. In response, he said, "Jai Shri Ram friends." However, a teacher named Mamata Gautam quickly directed the student to leave the stage, stating in Hindi, "This is a cultural program, such chants are not allowed."

The video's circulation drew the attention of the Ghaziabad Police Commissioner, who announced on social media that the Crossings police station in charge had been instructed to investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

Additionally, the college authorities took action by suspending both Mamata Gautam and another professor, Shweta Sharma, for their role in asking the student to leave the stage before he could deliver his performance.
