AIMIM leader on Rahul Gandhi's naming of his pet dog "Noorie" as an insult to Muslim females

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Mohammad Farhan expressed strong criticism towards Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his choice of naming his pet dog 'Noorie,' deeming it an act that "insults Muslim daughters."

Rahul Gandhi recently introduced a new member to their family, a three-month-old Jack Russell Terrier puppy named 'Noorie,' which he gifted to his mother, Sonia Gandhi.

Taking issue with Rahul Gandhi's selection of the name 'Noorie' for his dog, the AIMIM leader voiced his objections, stating, "When Rahul Gandhi named his pet dog 'Noorie,' Asaduddin Owaisi's party strongly protested. Rahul Gandhi's actions are reprehensible and disgraceful. Choosing the name 'Noorie' for a dog is a slight to Muslim daughters who share the same name, and it reflects negatively on the Gandhi family's regard for Muslim daughters and the Muslim community."

Rahul Gandhi documented the adoption of the puppy in a video shared on his YouTube channel, highlighting how he acquired the dog from Goa and brought it to Delhi as a gift for his mother.

Rahul Gandhi expressed his sentiments in the video, saying, "Noorie flew in from Goa straight into our arms and has become the light of our lives."

In the video, Sonia Gandhi is shown holding 'Noorie' and exclaiming, "She is so cute." She expressed her gratitude to Rahul and was seen interacting with the puppy, who quickly became acquainted with Sonia Gandhi's other pet dog, 'Lapo.'
