During his address at the RSS Dussehra rally in Nagpur, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat expressed his concerns regarding the influence of "cultural Marxists and woke elements" within the media and academia. He stated that these individuals are having a detrimental impact on the nation's education and culture.
Bhagwat highlighted that these particular groups are actively working to foster "discrimination and separation" within society, and he noted that they appear to have moved away from Marx's ideology since the 1920s.
According to Bhagwat, these forces with selfish and divisive intentions are endeavoring to undermine social unity and encourage discord. They assume various identities, with some identifying as cultural Marxists or woke.
He further emphasized that cultural Marxists are responsible for fostering anarchy, supporting it, and spreading it throughout society. They tend to take control of various domains, including media and academia, and as a result, they sow confusion, chaos, and corruption in areas such as education, culture, politics, and the social environment.
The annual 'Vijayadashmi Utsav' of the RSS commenced with the 'Path Sanchalan' or route march by RSS workers in Nagpur earlier in the day. The event featured prominent guests, including singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
