A man has been taken into custody for a vicious assault on an 8-year-old student at a school situated in the Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu.
The individual in question has been identified as Vincent Raj, who was allegedly in a highly intoxicated state during the time of the incident.
Vincent Raj, who is the father of a student attending the school, arrived at the educational institution while under the influence of alcohol, aiming to pick up his daughter.

Consequent to this disheartening occurrence, the child's father, Arulappan, initiated legal action by lodging a complaint with the Vaiyampati Police. In response, the authorities have officially registered a case, invoking sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), in addition to section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
In the wake of these legal proceedings, Vincent has been apprehended and is presently held in custody until October 31.
