'End of hostilities' in Gaza is demanded by the UAE President during the Cairo Peace Summit

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Saturday, issued a call for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip. His statements were made during his participation in the Cairo Peace Summit, a gathering convened by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to deliberate on measures to bring an end to the Israel-Hamas conflict and address related matters.

Taking to the platform of X, Sheikh Mohamed expressed, "Today, I attended the Cairo Peace Summit, where the UAE joined its international partners to promptly address the situation in the Gaza Strip. The UAE remains steadfast in its appeals for the utmost safeguarding of civilian lives, unhindered access to humanitarian assistance, and the swift cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip."

He further stated, "The international community must collaborate to prevent further acts of violence and the expansion of instability, recognizing that dialogue, cooperation, and coexistence remain the sole viable avenues towards achieving peace."
