In Greater Noida, an individual decided to express his creativity through the name of his SUV, a Tata Punch, by appending 'Sar' to the prefix and adding 'ji' to the suffix. Consequently, the rear of his vehicle featured the moniker 'SarPunchJi'.Â
Furthermore, he had inscribed the term 'Gurjar' in Hindi, which denotes a specific caste. This unique display garnered widespread attention when images of his SUV were shared across social media platforms, generating extensive online discussions. Eventually, the images also found their way to the Greater Noida traffic police department.
In response to this matter, the traffic police took action by issuing a challan amounting to Rs 500 against the owner of the car, who was identified as Sandeep Bhati.
It's worth noting that this action was in alignment with an earlier directive from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who had urged the public to refrain from using language associated with caste and religion. Consequently, challans have been issued for several vehicles displaying such references.
