In view of the Israel-Hamas Conflict, Air India stops flights to Tel Aviv until October 14

Air India has taken the decision to cancel its flights to and from Tel Aviv until October 14, 2023, due to the ongoing conflict and security concerns in the region. This move comes in response to the recent attacks on Israel by Hamas terrorists, resulting in a significant escalation of hostilities.

As a result of this decision, approximately 14 airline personnel, primarily consisting of cabin and cockpit crew members, have returned from Tel Aviv via an Ethiopian flight. The airline has placed the safety of its passengers and crew as its top priority and has suspended flight operations accordingly.

An Air India spokesperson stated, "Our flights to and from Tel Aviv will remain suspended till 14th October 2023, for the safety of our passengers and crew." The airline is committed to providing necessary support to passengers who have confirmed bookings on flights during this period.

The airline is closely monitoring the situation and exploring various options concerning passenger arrangements. Currently, Air India operates five weekly flights between the national capital and Tel Aviv, with services available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.

It is worth noting that on the day of the initial escalation of hostilities, the carrier had already canceled its flights to and from Tel Aviv. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed India's solidarity with Israel in the wake of these attacks, condemning them as acts of terrorism and expressing support for the nation during this challenging time.
