Israel military says a drone strike killed the Hamas chief who organized the assault on Israelis

Ali Qadi, a prominent figure in the Hamas terrorist group, serving as a company commander within the so-called Nukhba unit, which orchestrated the attacks on southern Israeli communities just last week, was the target of a drone strike carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), resulting in his demise, as confirmed on Saturday.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) made an official statement on X (formerly Twitter), declaring, "Relying on precise intelligence provided by the IDF and ISA, the IAF conducted a lethal operation, eliminating Ali Qadi, the company commander of the Hamas 'Nukhba' commando force. He was the mastermind behind the terrorist assault on Israeli communities situated near the Gaza Strip this past weekend."

The IAF further revealed that "In 2005, Ali was apprehended following the kidnapping and murder of Israeli civilians and was released as part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange."

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) corroborated the information, confirming on X that Ali Qadi, responsible for the inhumane and barbaric massacre of civilians in Israel on October 7, met his end. The IDF's resolute stance was succinctly put as, "Ali Qadi led the inhumane, barbaric October 7 massacre of civilians in Israel. We just eliminated him. All Hamas terrorists will meet the same fate."

Hamas initiated a series of attacks on Israel on October 7, resulting in a tragic loss of lives, marking one of the most significant escalations in the conflict in decades. The aftermath of this fateful assault led to the loss of over 1,300 lives in Israel, with Israeli counter-airstrikes claiming the lives of more than 1,530 individuals in Gaza. Israel's authorities assert that approximately 1,500 Hamas militants met their demise inside Israeli territory.
