On Thursday, Israel unveiled distressing photographs depicting babies who had been "murdered and burned by Hamas monsters." Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented some of these images to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his visit to Israel. Among the pictures, some revealed the charred and blackened bodies of infants, with Israel asserting that these babies had fallen victim to Hamas terrorists who had initiated a surprise attack on a Saturday morning.
The official Prime Minister of Israel's Twitter account shared these photographs with a statement condemning Hamas: "Here are some of the photos Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showed to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken...These are horrifying photos of babies murdered and burned by the Hamas monsters. Hamas is inhuman. Hamas is Isis."
Local media had previously reported that the Israel Defense Forces discovered the bodies of approximately 40 babies, some of whom had been subjected to gruesome violence, including beheading. Nicole Zedek, an i24 News journalist who initially reported the beheading of these babies by Hamas terrorists, described it as one of the most severe acts of violence witnessed on Israeli soil, stating that such an incident had never occurred before.
In response to these shocking events, US President Joe Biden referred to the attack as a campaign of "brutal cruelty," expressing disbelief at having to verify reports of terrorists beheading children. However, the White House later clarified that neither President Biden nor other US officials had independently seen such pictures or confirmed these reports. The President's comments were based on information from media reports and statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's spokesperson.
Following the White House's statement, the Israeli government publicly released images of babies they claimed had been murdered by Hamas, and these pictures were also shared with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his visit to Israel.
