Nara Lokesh, Chandrababu Naidu's son, claims there is a immediate threat to his life

On Friday, Nara Lokesh, the general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), voiced his apprehension regarding the safety and well-being of his father, N. Chandrababu Naidu, who currently finds himself behind bars. Lokesh expressed serious concerns, alleging that his father's life was under imminent threat.

Taking to a platform, Lokesh cited the fragile health of N. Chandrababu Naidu and contended, "There is a clear and pressing danger to CBN's life. He is being subjected to deliberate harm, and his safety is unquestionably compromised."

Moreover, Nara Lokesh raised the issue of the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's deteriorating health and asserted that he has been suffering from infections and allergies due to the lack of prompt medical attention in the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison where he is currently confined.

"CBN (Naidu) is confronting an alarming situation, contending with issues such as mosquito-infested surroundings, contaminated water sources, significant weight loss, infections, and allergies, all without access to the necessary medical assistance. The Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) appears to be administering steroids to him," Lokesh asserted in a statement on the platform.

This led him to question, "What are the government doctors and administration attempting to conceal?"

In a message directed at Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Nara Lokesh warned, "Should any harm come to Naidu, the responsibility will squarely rest on Jagan."

Similar concerns were expressed by Naidu's wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari, who expressed deep anxiety about her husband's well-being, as she believed the Andhra Pradesh government had failed to provide the necessary and timely medical care.

"He has already lost 5kg in weight, and any further weight loss could have severe implications for his kidney health. The overhead water tanks exhibit unsanitary conditions and pose a significant health hazard. These dire circumstances undeniably pose an immediate and tangible threat to my husband's life," she communicated in a post on the same platform.

Naidu's daughter-in-law, Brahmani Nara, further alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was being held in substandard and unsanitary prison conditions, which exposed him to significant health risks.

Naidu's incarceration stems from allegations of misappropriating funds from the Skill Development Corporation, purportedly resulting in a loss of over Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer.
