Pakistan accuses India's espionage service of the twin suicide bombings, which have left 65 people dead

On Saturday, Pakistan made allegations of India's intelligence agency's involvement in two suicide bombings that occurred on Friday, as the tragic death toll climbed to 65. These devastating incidents unfolded in the vicinity of a mosque located in Balochistan's Mastung district, where a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near a police vehicle. The attack transpired as people gathered for a procession to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad.

Subsequently, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Hangu city, another explosion erupted at a mosque, resulting in the tragic loss of at least 5 lives.

Sarfaraz Bugti, Pakistan's Interior Minister, while addressing the matter in Balochistan's capital, Quetta, asserted that India's Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) played a role in orchestrating the suicide attack. Bugti stated, "Civil, military and all other institutions will join forces to combat the individuals responsible for the Mastung suicide bombing. We firmly believe that RAW has a hand in this tragic event."

The authorities initiated an investigation, with the police taking steps to send DNA samples from the suicide bomber for analysis. The gruesome suicide blast near the Madina Masjid in Balochistan, precisely in a place called Mastung, claimed the lives of 60 individuals, with over 60 others sustaining injuries.

In the secondary bomb attack that unfolded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Hangu, targeting a mosque within a police station, five people met a tragic end, and 12 others suffered injuries, as the explosion resulted in the collapse of the mosque's roof.

According to a statement from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), an FIR with charges of murder and terrorism-related offenses has been filed against an unidentified attacker. So far, no specific group has claimed responsibility for the attack; however, it's noteworthy that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a banned organization responsible for numerous devastating attacks in Pakistan, denied any involvement in this incident.

The CTD clarified that investigations into the incident remain ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this point.

Meanwhile, in response to the tragic events, the caretaker government of Balochistan announced a period of three days of mourning to pay tribute to the victims of the attack.
