During the initial 13 days of its Special Cleanliness Campaign 3.0, the Ministry of Railways has achieved significant milestones, as reported in an official statement. It's noteworthy that this campaign resulted in a substantial revenue of over Rs 66 lakh through the disposal of office scrap. Moreover, the ministry successfully liberated an impressive 3,97,619 square feet of space, which can now be repurposed for various other uses.
Special Cleanliness Campaign 3.0, which commenced on October 1 and will continue until October 31, is a comprehensive effort that encompasses multiple aspects of railway operations. It extends its reach to the Railways' zonal headquarters, divisional offices, production units, Research Design and Standards Organisation, training institutes, and more than 7,000 stations. The primary aim is to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and optimization within the railway ecosystem.
The Railways have set ambitious goals for this campaign, with plans to conduct 10,722 cleanliness drives by the end of October. Of particular focus in this campaign is the disposal of scrap within offices and workplaces, aiming to free up an impressive 3,18,504 square feet of space for more productive purposes.
As part of these efforts, the Railways have already organized over 5,297 cleanliness campaigns within the scope of this initiative until October 13, 2023. Notably, more than 1.02 lakh public grievances have been efficiently resolved during this campaign, underscoring its multifaceted impact.
One of the key accomplishments of this campaign is the remarkable focus on scrap disposal within offices and workplaces. This concerted effort has resulted in the liberation of a substantial 3,97,619 square feet of space, allowing for better space management and utilization.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Railways has generated an impressive revenue of approximately Rs 66.83 lakh through the disposal of office scrap, reflecting both its commitment to efficiency and its ability to make the most of available resources.
Moreover, as part of the comprehensive campaign, more than 51,954 files have been reviewed, a testament to the meticulous approach adopted by the Ministry in the pursuit of cleanliness and optimization.
