Osama, the son of former gangster–turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin from Bihar, was released on bail by a local court and subsequently handed over to a Bihar Police team regarding a property-related case, as per police reports. His arrest had taken place on Monday, along with his friends Saif and Wasim. An SDM court located in the Kota district's Ramganjmandi town granted bail to all three individuals.
Following the bail decision, Osama and Saif were transferred to the Bihar Police, as both were wanted in connection with a property-related case that had been filed earlier in the same month in Bihar's Siwan district, according to Manoj Berwal, the SHO of Ranganjmandi Police Station.
The arrests occurred when the trio, all approximately between the ages of 30 and 35, behaved suspiciously at a checkpoint in Pundwa. They were driving a car with a Delhi registration number. The authorities detained them for questioning under section 151, as their behavior raised suspicions, Berwal explained.
Osama and his companions informed the police that they were traveling from Delhi and heading to Goa. Subsequently, the local police checked with their counterparts in Bihar, learning that Osama and Saif had been previously booked in a property-related case in Siwan about ten days ago.
