"Thank you for the wonderful years," Italian Prime Minister Meloni said following their breakup

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in an Instagram post, has publicly revealed the end of her nearly decade-long relationship with television journalist Andrea Giambruno, expressing gratitude for the years they spent together.

Meloni shared in her Instagram post, "My connection with Andrea Giambruno, spanning almost ten years, concludes at this point. I offer my thanks for the remarkable years we shared, the challenges we faced together, and, above all, for bestowing upon me the most precious gift of my life, our daughter Geneva."

She acknowledged, "Our paths have long since diverged, and it is time to acknowledge this fact."

"I will stand up for who we once were, I will protect the friendship we shared, and, at any cost, I will shield a seven-year-old who adores her mother and father, the way I couldn't love mine. There is nothing more to add on this matter," added Meloni.

She concluded her message with this statement: "P.S. For those who may have wished to undermine me by targeting my personal life, it is important to understand that no matter how persistent a drop may be in trying to erode a stone, the stone will always remain steadfast, while the drop is merely water."

It is worth noting that Giambruno, who hosts a news program, faced criticism for making sexist comments both on and off the air. In response to these comments, Meloni asserted that she should not be held accountable for remarks made by her partner and stated her intention not to address questions regarding his conduct in the future.
