The DMK administration finds 84 Tamils who were stuck in Israel and offers helplines


In the midst of the intense conflict between the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, and Israel, the Tamil Nadu government has conveyed that they have received information about 84 individuals hailing from the state who find themselves stranded in the war-torn region.

Among this group, a significant number had initially journeyed to Israel for various purposes, including furthering their studies, engaging in business activities, and enjoying tourism.

The stranded individuals of Tamil origin are currently dispersed across different areas, encompassing Yeruham, Beersheba, Ben Gurion, East Jerusalem, the University of Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv University.

According to reports provided by the stranded Tamil individuals, they are presently in a safe condition, with access to adequate shelter and provisions of food.

Taking action in response to this situation, the Tamil Nadu government has relayed this crucial information to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy situated in Israel. In doing so, they have requested the utmost assistance and support in facilitating the repatriation of these stranded people to their homeland.
