Supriya Sule, a Member of Parliament from the Nationalist Congress Party, expressed her views on the political landscape, stating that Nitin Gadkari is a notable figure within the BJP who she believes speaks candidly. Furthermore, she emphasized that there is only one Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, a party founded by the late Balasaheb Thackeray. She underscored the fact that he entrusted the responsibility to Uddhav Thackeray while he was still alive. Despite the existence of various factions, Supriya Sule asserted that people can differentiate between genuine articles and imitations.
Her comments were made in response to a recent statement by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari concerning the original Shiv Sena during an interview. Supriya Sule conveyed her perspective during a press interaction held in Pune, where she elaborated on her opinion about the political landscape and the distinctiveness of certain leaders and parties.
On a separate occasion, Supriya Sule expressed her concern about what she perceived as "policy paralysis" in the Maharashtra government, specifically regarding the issue of Maratha reservation. She asserted that the state government was experiencing a lack of effective governance. This statement was prompted by the conclusion of a 40-day deadline set by Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange for the state government to implement the Maratha reservation.
