Prime Minister Trudeau's endeavors to address the diplomatic tensions between India and Canada transpired following India's dismissal of his allegations as "absurd" and "motivated." In response to Ottawa's expulsion of an Indian official related to the case, India had also expelled a senior Canadian diplomat.
Trudeau's discussion with UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak earlier in the week highlighted the urgency of de-escalating the diplomatic discord between India and Canada and emphasized the imperative nature of upholding the principles of the rule of law in this matter.
