Two pilgrims die and fifteen are injured when a bus in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, overturns


On Saturday, a tragic incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur, where a bus carrying pilgrims to Vindhyachal Dham overturned, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuries to 15 individuals, as reported by the local police.

The ill-fated bus met with the accident within the jurisdiction of the Lalganj police station area, as conveyed by Superintendent of Police Abhinandan. The deceased individuals have been identified as Bhola (aged 29) and Kanoi (aged 45), their lives were tragically cut short by this unfortunate event.

Additionally, the injured passengers have been promptly transported to hospitals to receive medical attention for their various injuries sustained during the accident.

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel, who also serves as the local Member of Parliament (MP), took the initiative to visit the injured individuals at the hospital. Her visit aimed to express her concern and inquire about the well-being of those affected by the mishap.

As revealed by the local authorities, the victims involved in this incident hail from the Haliya police station area within the district. The accident serves as a sobering reminder of the need for road safety and preventive measures in order to mitigate such tragic occurrences in the future.
