Vladimir Putin criticizes the West and claims that Indian leadership is acting independently

Russian President Vladimir Putin has leveled accusations against the Western nations, alleging that they are deliberately fostering animosity towards countries that do not unquestioningly adhere to the directives of Western elites. In his remarks, Putin contended that the West is selective in its approach and has sought to cast the Arab world in a negative light, effectively portraying Muslims as adversaries.

Furthermore, Vladimir Putin's admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership has been prominently expressed on prior occasions. Putin characterized Modi as an exceptionally sagacious leader, emphasizing the strong political rapport shared between the two nations. He lauded India's significant advancements in development under Modi's guidance, emphasizing the mutually beneficial nature of their cooperation.

These commendations directed towards Indian leadership coincide with the G20 Summit held in India, during which the New Delhi Declaration was adopted. Moscow viewed this declaration as a notable milestone. It emphasized the importance of peace amid the ongoing Ukraine conflict without attributing blame to Russia, signifying a departure from the previous Bali Declaration.
