Where is the evidence? Mahua Moitra's detailed refutation of the bribery allegations

During an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Mahua Moitra, a Member of Parliament representing the Trinamool Congress (TMC), strongly criticized Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nishikant Dubey for his allegations concerning the ongoing "cash-for-query" controversy. Moitra responded to the charges against her, addressing them point by point.

"Anyone can make an allegation, but the onus is always on the complainant to prove those allegations. I have read the so-called affidavit submitted to the Parliament Ethics Committee. There's no mention of Rs 2 crore cash given to me in the affidavit. If cash is being given, please tell the date and provide all the documentary evidence," Mahua Moitra emphasized.

Furthermore, the TMC MP also took issue with Nishikant Dubey's allegation that businessman Darshan Hiranandani provided her with cash in exchange for raising questions against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani in the Lok Sabha.

"An affidavit is floating in public that Darshan Hiranandani has given me cash. However, Darshan has made no mention of cash in his affidavit. So, you have a person with a faded acrimonious relationship with me, alleging without proof that I have taken Rs 2 crore cash. Yesterday, he was called to the Parliament committee and asked 14 times whether he had proof or documentary evidence to provide. This whole thing is a farce," Moitra declared.

"If Darshan Hiranandani is the approver, he should immediately lay down the proofs on the Parliamentary table and say when and where he has given me the cash," she further stated.
