In the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, a 70-year-old woman suffered severe injuries on a Sunday when she was attacked by a pit bull, as per a report by news agency PTI. The victim, a resident of Dhandera, was en route to visit someone in the neighborhood when the incident occurred. Subsequently, the woman's son registered a formal complaint against the owner of the pit bull at the Civil Lines Police Station, as confirmed by RK Saklani, the in-charge of the Roorkee Civil Lines police station.
Providing further details, Dr. Vandana at Roorkee Civil Hospital described the extensive nature of the woman's injuries, which covered her entire body. Due to the gravity of her condition and the profuse bleeding, she was promptly referred to AIIMS, Rishikesh, for specialized medical attention. In response to the filed complaint, the police are initiating necessary legal proceedings, signaling the beginning of an official case surrounding the pit bull attack.
