An associate of Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode is detained in Amritsar

On Tuesday, the Punjab Police made a significant development by apprehending Paramjit Singh, an associate of Khalistani terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode, at Amritsar airport. The arrest was made in connection with his alleged involvement in terror funding and subversive activities within the state. It is noteworthy that Lakhbir Singh Rode, identified as a Khalistani terrorist and the nephew of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, met his demise in Pakistan on December 2, reportedly due to a heart attack.

Sources further revealed that Rode's final rites were discreetly conducted in Pakistan, adhering to Sikh customs and traditions. In the aftermath of Paramjit Singh's arrest, the Director General of Police in Punjab, through a post on an unspecified platform, announced the breakthrough, stating, "In a major breakthrough, SSOC Amritsar has arrested UK-based Paramjit Singh, alias Punjab Singh, alias Dhadi, from Amritsar airport."

Highlighting Paramjit Singh's association with Lakhbir Rode, the head of the proscribed terrorist organization International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF), the police emphasized his alleged involvement in terror funding and other subversive activities in Punjab. The authorities underscored that the ongoing investigation aims to unveil and expose the broader terrorist network, characterizing Singh's arrest as a "major blow" to the terror module attempting to disrupt peace in the region.

The recently deceased Khalistani terrorist, Lakhbir Singh Rode, was known for his involvement in anti-India terrorist activities in Punjab, purportedly at the behest of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, as indicated by signals from Pakistan's secret agency ISI. Rode held the position of the head of the banned outfit International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) and had been officially designated as a terrorist by the Indian government.
