A video circulating online has captured an interesting moment involving Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) President Hanuman Beniwal, where he is observed instructing one of his supporters to articulate his name correctly. In this footage, which has surfaced on X, Beniwal is seen extending greetings to his supporters with folded hands. As one of his companions begins chanting the RLP chief's name but halts abruptly, Beniwal interjects with a playful remark, saying, "Aage bolona, mar Gaye kya? (Say the rest, are you dead or what?)." The supporter promptly adapts the chant, concluding with "Hanuman Beniwal, Zindabad."
Throughout this interaction, Hanuman Beniwal continues to walk with folded hands amid the resounding cheers and chants from the gathered supporters. The video shared on the microblogging site, has garnered over 60,000 views as of the time of reporting. However, it is crucial to note that the authenticity of the video could not be independently verified by India Today.
Addressing reporters on the heels of the assembly election results, Beniwal commended his party for thwarting the "BJP storm" in the state. He emphasized, "The storm that the BJP was creating in Rajasthan was halted by the RLP-ASP alliance, establishing a strong opposition within the state," according to statements reported by news agency PTI.
In the Rajasthan assembly elections, Beniwal secured victory from the Khinwsar constituency, defeating BJP candidate Rewant Ram Danga by 2,059 votes. Notably, only 15 seats were secured by parties other than the BJP or Congress.
The BJP reclaimed Rajasthan from the Congress, securing 115 seats compared to the grand old party's 69. Following the victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, breaking his tradition of refraining from predictions, expressed confidence in the people of Rajasthan, stating at the BJP headquarters in Delhi that he had predicted Congress would not return to power in the state.
