On the Gurugram Expressway, a speeding truck abruptly applies its brakes, killing two bicyclists


Prashant Narula, the director of Narula Industries, met a tragic fate while undergoing medical care at Nalhar Medical College, and Paramjit Sood, who sustained severe injuries in a road accident, was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Gurugram, where he, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries during treatment. This unfortunate incident unfolded on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway in Gurugram near Bilaspur, where the two businessmen, riding on separate bikes, lost their lives in a vehicular pile-up. The calamity occurred around 8:45 am on December 3 and was detailed in a filed FIR by a friend of the victims.

The collision, involving two cars, including a BMW, and a canter truck, resulted in the untimely demise of the two motorcycle riders. The police, in response to the incident, stated that they lack information regarding any additional injuries aside from the fatalities, and they have duly registered an FIR. The truck driver responsible for the accident has been apprehended.

The deceased, Prashant Narula, hailing from North Avenue Road, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi, and Parmit Sood, a resident of the DLF Phase-1 area in Gurugram, were part of a close-knit group of friends enjoying a motorcycle outing. Mukul Kumar, a Delhi resident who was also part of the group, lodged a formal complaint with the police. The accused is now facing charges under sections 304-A, 279, and 427.

Mukul Kumar provided an account of the events leading up to the tragedy, noting that seven individuals were on their bikes that fateful Sunday. Narula and Sood were leading the group, with Kumar following, while the remaining four companions were 2-3 kilometers behind him. In the aftermath of the collision, the community mourns the loss of two valuable lives and seeks justice for the unfortunate incident.
