Watch: After being named the new Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav strokes Shivraj Chouhan's feet

Upon being chosen as the forthcoming Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav engaged in a ceremonial gesture of respect and humility by touching the feet of his predecessor, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and seeking his blessings. This heartfelt moment was captured in a video from the BJP legislature party meeting, where Chouhan graciously presented Yadav with a bouquet before the symbolic act of receiving blessings.

Following the formal announcement of his new role, Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude and humility, emphasizing that he considers himself a modest contributor to the party. He extended his thanks to all, including the state leadership and the central leadership, pledging to earnestly endeavor to fulfill his newfound responsibilities.

Mohan Yadav, aged 58, boasts a political journey that commenced with his initial election as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in 2013, a success that he replicated in the subsequent 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. His standing within the state's political arena was further solidified when he was sworn in as a cabinet minister on July 2, 2020, serving in the government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

In terms of the organizational structure under his leadership, Mohan Yadav will be supported by two deputies, namely Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla. Additionally, the role of the Speaker will be assumed by the former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who actively participated in the state polls.

This transition signifies a significant milestone in Mohan Yadav's political career, and as he embarks on this new chapter, his commitment to the party and its objectives remains evident.
