Who is the thug who claimed to have killed the Karni Sena commander, Rohit Godara

In a tragic incident on Tuesday, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, fell victim to unidentified assailants who entered his residence in Jaipur, firing multiple shots that resulted in his untimely demise. Notably, Rohit Godara, a member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, promptly claimed responsibility for the heinous act.

The shocking event unfolded when two unidentified individuals gained entry into Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's residence, launching a barrage of gunfire that claimed his life. The gunmen also targeted another individual present near Gogamedi during the assail, and the entire sequence of events was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the room.

The video footage reveals Gogamedi collapsing on the floor due to the gunshot injuries. Despite immediate efforts to rush the Karni Sena chief to the hospital after the assailants fled the scene, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Rohit Godara, a notorious criminal with a significant criminal record in Rajasthan, is presently evading authorities and remains at large. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated efforts to apprehend him and has filed criminal charges against him. Godara claimed responsibility for the attack in an extensive Facebook post shortly after the incident.

Hailing from Bikaner, Rohit Godara boasts a notorious criminal history, with over 32 serious cases filed against him since 2010. His involvement in the underworld is marked by allegations of extorting substantial sums, ranging from Rs 5 crore to Rs 17 crore, from various businessmen in Rajasthan.

Godara is also accused of orchestrating the murder of gangster Raju Theth in Sikar last year, an act he openly declared on Facebook. He justified the retribution as a response to the deaths of gangsters Anandpal Singh and Balveer Banuda.

Recently, Godara's name has surfaced in connection with the Siddhu Moosewala murder case. Having worked for the Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar gangs, Godara managed to flee to Dubai from Delhi in June 2022 using a fake passport. A red corner notice has been issued against him, and it is speculated that he is currently residing in Canada. The unfolding events underscore the urgency of law enforcement efforts to bring those responsible for these criminal activities to justice.
