AAP hopes to win three seats in the Lok Sabha from Assam under the INDIA bloc

AAP leader Sandeep Pathak has articulated the party's aspiration to engage in electoral campaigning across three Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam for the forthcoming elections, expressing optimism that the INDIA bloc, a key player in the political landscape, would acknowledge and endorse this decision by allocating these seats to AAP.

The groundwork for this endeavor was laid out on February 8 when AAP announced its chosen candidates for the three Assam seats. Manoj Dhanowar, Baben Choudhary, and Rishiraj were designated as the party's contenders for the Dibrugarh, Guwahati, and Sonitpur Lok Sabha seats, respectively.

Pathak emphasized AAP's readiness to kickstart its campaign efforts in the aforementioned constituencies while expressing faith in the willingness of the INDIA bloc to accommodate AAP's participation in these crucial electoral battlegrounds.

Asserting AAP's determination to secure victories in these elections, Pathak underscored the significance of a strategic and coordinated approach within the alliance framework to maximize electoral success.

Additionally, in a joint press conference, AAP leader and Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj revealed that discussions regarding seat-sharing had commenced in Assam, indicating an impending decision on the matter.

Furthermore, AAP and Congress are slated to establish a coordination committee tasked with overseeing election campaigning in Assam. This committee will be entrusted with delineating campaign strategies and determining the deployment of leaders from both parties in coalition-designated constituencies.

Moreover, AAP and Congress have recently finalized seat-sharing arrangements in various states such as Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Chandigarh, and Goa. In Delhi, AAP is set to contest from three seats while Congress will vie for the remaining three. A similar arrangement has been made in Gujarat, with AAP focusing its efforts on Bhavnagar and Bharuch.

Nevertheless, there remains an absence of clarity regarding seat-sharing in Punjab, as AAP had previously expressed intentions to independently contest all 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
