Actor Vijay's party agenda includes women's participation and a target membership of two crore

Actor Thalapathy Vijay, who recently ventured into the realm of politics by establishing his own political entity named Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, has outlined a comprehensive agenda for his nascent party. He has directed his party members to focus on expanding the party's reach and influence. Setting an ambitious target, the party president has urged his colleagues to strive towards the recruitment of an additional two crore members into the party's fold, emphasizing the active involvement of women and first-time voters.

Furthermore, the party is poised to introduce a dedicated membership wing specifically tailored for women, managed by district and Assembly coordinators. "It is imperative that we actively engage with the broader public, particularly first-time and female voters, to foster their participation in our party," stated the headquarters of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

A consultative assembly was convened in Chennai on Monday to deliberate on strategies for enhancing membership and expanding the party's organizational structure. Vijay, the paramount leader of the party, has instructed party members to conduct comprehensive membership drives at both the district and Assembly levels to fortify the party's grassroots presence.

Additionally, the party's directives encompass the identification and categorization of voters based on their political affiliations. To facilitate the membership drive, a mobile application will soon be rolled out, enabling broader participation from the general electorate, first-time voters, and women voters in aligning with the principles and vision of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party.

Actor Vijay, upon announcing his foray into politics on February 2, underscored his commitment to effecting fundamental political reforms characterized by transparency, caste neutrality, and freedom from corruption. While the party has opted out of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Vijay has declared the party's intention to contest the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections slated for 2026.
