"Hemant Soren wouldn't be in jail if he had joined the BJP," said Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal remarked on Sunday that had the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren formed an alliance with the BJP, he might have avoided imprisonment.

Kejriwal engaged in a telephone conversation with Soren's spouse, Kalpana Murmu Soren, who expressed gratitude for his backing.

In a social media update, she conveyed, "Today, I had a telephonic conversation with the honorable Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri @ArvindKejriwal ji. I am grateful to Arvind ji for standing by Jharkhandi warrior Hemant ji and the JMM family during this challenging time."

In her Hindi post, she underscored the imperative of uniting against the BJP's alleged machinations.

"Presently, the entire nation is witnessing the machinations of the central government and the BJP. People are distressed by the erosion of democracy not only in Jharkhand but also in Delhi and other non-BJP-governed states.

"Together, we must combat this conspiracy orchestrated by the central government and the BJP. Jai Johar! Jai Jharkhand!" she emphasized.

Echoing her sentiments, Kejriwal affirmed his solidarity with Soren.

"Kalpana ji, we stand firmly with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren ji. The nation commends his resilience and fortitude in confronting the BJP's injustices. Despite the BJP's efforts, he remains steadfast on the path of truth. Hats off to him!" he conveyed in his Hindi post, quoting her message.
