Nafe Singh Rathee, the president of Haryana INLD, was shot and killed in his SUV

Nafe Singh Rathee, who served as the Haryana chief of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), reportedly fell victim to a fatal shooting incident that transpired in Bahadurgarh on Sunday. Tragically, another dedicated party worker named Jaikishan also succumbed to injuries sustained during the violent altercation, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.

INLD leader Abhay Chautala solemnly acknowledged the loss of the party's stalwart, underscoring the profound impact of Rathee's untimely demise on the political landscape. The assailants, purportedly traveling in a Hyundai i10, unleashed a barrage of gunfire directed at Rathee's vehicle, resulting in grievous injuries not only to him but also to multiple security personnel accompanying him.

In the aftermath of the harrowing ordeal, an extensive investigation spearheaded by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Special Task Force (STF) units has been initiated to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. Jhajjar Superintendent of Police Arpit Jain affirmed the proactive measures being undertaken to expedite the arrest of the assailants and unravel the circumstances surrounding the heinous crime.

The wounded victims of the shooting were promptly rushed to Brahmashakti Sanjeevani Hospital for urgent medical attention. Dr. Manish Sharma, a medical practitioner at the hospital, lamented the severity of Rathee's injuries, disclosing that he sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Among the casualties admitted for treatment, two individuals tragically succumbed to their injuries, succumbing to severe blood loss.

Echoing sentiments of outrage and dismay, INLD leader Abhay Chautala directed scathing criticism towards the state government, lambasting its failure to afford Rathee the requisite security measures despite credible threats to his life. Chautala's impassioned plea for accountability extended to calls for the resignation of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Home Minister Anil Vij, holding them culpable for the egregious security lapse that precipitated Rathee's tragic demise.

In the wake of Rathee's senseless killing, a chorus of condemnation and mourning reverberated across the political spectrum. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda decried the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, offering heartfelt condolences to Rathee's bereaved family and expressing solidarity with the injured security personnel in their arduous recovery journey.

Similarly, former Congress MP Kumari Selja lamented Rathee's untimely demise as emblematic of the prevailing state of lawlessness fostered under the BJP's governance, denouncing the party's failure to uphold the fundamental tenets of public safety and security.

Anurag Dhanda, Vice President of AAP Haryana, echoed sentiments of indignation and dismay, castigating the BJP-led administration for presiding over a catastrophic erosion of law and order. Dhanda's scathing indictment underscored the profound implications of Rathee's tragic demise, underscoring the profound erosion of public trust and confidence in the government's ability to safeguard the lives and well-being of its citizens.
