"NDA in 17 states after 2014": JP Nadda praises PM Modi's leadership

During the BJP's national council meeting in Delhi, party president J P Nadda lauded the significant progress and achievements made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reflecting on the BJP's journey over the past decade, Nadda highlighted the substantial expansion of the party's influence, noting that since PM Modi assumed office in 2014, the BJP successfully formed governments in 12 states independently.

Addressing the gathering, Nadda underscored the BJP's remarkable growth trajectory, stating, "Today, the BJP has emerged as the largest political party globally. Before 2014, our presence was limited to merely five states, stagnating at around 5 to 6. However, post-2014, the NDA now governs 17 states, with the BJP single-handedly leading governments in 12 states."

Expressing his unwavering confidence in the dedication and capabilities of party workers, Nadda urged all BJP members to redouble their efforts to secure a substantial electoral victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized the importance of strengthening grassroots-level organizational structures and called for concerted efforts to ensure that the BJP secures over 370 seats while aiming for the NDA to surpass the milestone of 400 seats in the Parliament.

The two-day meeting witnessed the participation of nearly 11,500 party members, including elected panchayat heads, district presidents, and Union ministers, who convened to deliberate on campaign strategies and themes for the impending elections.

In a nostalgic moment, Nadda reflected on the longstanding commitment towards the construction of the Ram temple, tracing back to the BJP convention in Palampur in 1989. He highlighted the temple's recent inauguration by Prime Minister Modi on January 22 as the realization of a profound promise, subtly critiquing the absence of the opposition at the event.

Further elaborating on the transformative initiatives undertaken during PM Modi's tenure, Nadda lauded the significant strides made in poverty alleviation, citing the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, which provides free food grains to over 80 crore beneficiaries. He credited the Modi government with uplifting approximately 25 crore people out of poverty over the past decade, enabling them to pursue new opportunities and aspirations.

The meeting, held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, witnessed the participation of chief ministers, state ministers, BJP state unit presidents, and organizational leaders from across the country.
