Numerous dead cows discovered in the forest close to a Madhya Pradesh village; cause unclear

In a recent development in Madhya Pradesh, hundreds of cow carcasses have been discovered in a forest near a village, raising significant concern among locals. The circumstances surrounding the presence of these deceased cows in the area remain shrouded in mystery.

Authorities, however, speculate that these animals were likely transported from urban regions and clandestinely disposed of in the forest during the nighttime hours.

Expressing his dismay, the head of Sillerpur village lamented the situation, noting the lack of action from the administration despite prior notifications.

"Approximately four to five hundred cows are strewn across the location, and despite our notifications, the administration appears unconcerned," he remarked.

According to Dr. Vadil Jatav, a veterinarian familiar with the area, the region has unfortunately become an informal dumping ground for deceased cows from the Karaira Municipality area.

A police official weighed in, suggesting that the cold weather conditions might have contributed to the cows' demise. "It's possible that the cows succumbed to the harsh cold weather," the official remarked, also acknowledging reports from municipality workers regarding the practice of disposing of dead cows in the vicinity.
