Rahul Gandhi's yatra in Uttar Pradesh will only be joined by Akhilesh Yadav if

The current status quo regarding the participation of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra remains uncertain, particularly in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi and Raebareli.

Akhilesh Yadav has articulated that the SP will refrain from partaking in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra until a definitive agreement on seat allocation with the Congress is reached.

"Negotiations are ongoing, and both parties are exchanging lists. Once the seat-sharing arrangement is firmly established, the Samajwadi Party will actively engage in the Congress' Nyay Yatra," Akhilesh Yadav conveyed.

The Nyay Yatra is scheduled to traverse through Amethi on Monday before advancing to Raebareli, where Akhilesh Yadav had previously indicated his intent to participate.

Sources within the party have disclosed to India Today TV that while the number of seats and their designations had been previously settled, Rahul Gandhi's insistence on specific constituencies has led to a delay in finalizing the alliance.

Although discussions have ensued among Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, a definitive consensus on seat allocation is yet to be achieved.

Earlier this month, Akhilesh Yadav accepted an invitation extended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, expressing his intention to join the yatra either in Amethi or Raebareli.

In recent developments, the SP has proposed allocating 11 seats to the Congress in Uttar Pradesh for the forthcoming parliamentary elections, underscoring their partnership within the opposition's INDIA bloc.
