See the Chinese flag in India as well: DMK reacts to the PM's criticism of Tamil Nadu advertisement

DMK Member of Parliament P Wilson responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's critique of the Tamil Nadu government's Isro advertisement blunder by urging the Prime Minister to acknowledge the presence of Chinese flags within Indian territory as well. Wilson's remarks came in the wake of PM Modi's criticism of a state minister's advertisement for a new Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) spaceport, which featured a rocket bearing the Chinese flag symbol.

PM Modi had expressed disapproval of the advertisement, labeling it as "an insult to scientists" and accusing the DMK of being unwilling to recognize India's development.

In his retort to PM Modi's comments, DMK's Wilson alleged instances of Chinese incursions along the Line of Control and the renaming of Indian territory, along with the unfurling of Chinese flags. He expressed disappointment that PM Modi had not addressed these issues over the past decade.

In a post on social media platform X, Wilson emphasized, "The Prime Minister can spot a Chinese flag in a printed advertisement with hawk-eyed precision, yet has seemingly overlooked reports of Chinese flags being hoisted on Indian soil."

Wilson further elaborated on the reported Chinese activities, including incursions in Ladakh and encroachments in Arunachal Pradesh, urging the Prime Minister to take cognizance of these matters. He criticized the government's perceived failure to safeguard India's territorial integrity.

PM MODI'S REMARKS ON DMK'S AD FEATURING CHINESE ROCKET
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had criticized the DMK party over an advertisement featuring a rocket with the Chinese flag symbol, describing it as "an insult to scientists" during an event in Tuticorin.

He accused the DMK of being indifferent to India's progress and exploiting government initiatives for political gain. He highlighted the advertisement as an example of the DMK's purported unwillingness to acknowledge the advancement of India's space sector.

Responding to PM Modi's comments, DMK minister P Thiagarajan defended Tamil Nadu's growth rate, which he claimed was higher than the national average. He questioned why anyone would hinder the state's progress.

'MISTAKEN' ADVERTISEMENT
Meanwhile, DMK minister Anitha Radhakrishnan admitted that the inclusion of the Chinese flag in the advertisement was an oversight by the creator, which went unnoticed by the party.

She clarified that the error was unintentional, reiterating the party's unwavering focus on India's unity and progress, devoid of religious or caste divisions.

The Isro spaceport in Kulasekarapattinam, set to become the second in Tamil Nadu, signifies a significant milestone in India's space endeavors, particularly in launching Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLVs). This initiative underscores India's strides in space technology and exploration.
