Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh: A van strikes a tree, killing four pupils

The tragic incident unfolded as a group of high school students embarked on their journey toward the Laturi Singh Inter-College in Jaitipur to partake in the consequential state board examinations. This fateful excursion, occurring in the vicinity of Jarvan village within Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district, turned disastrous when the van transporting them veered out of control and collided with a tree.

Regrettably, this calamity resulted in the loss of four young lives, consisting of two female and two male students, who perished instantly at the scene. Concurrently, six other students sustained injuries in the accident, necessitating their admission to a medical college for treatment, where they are presently reported to be in stable condition. According to the authorities, the van's tire burst precipitated the unfortunate event, leading to the harrowing outcome.

However, a conflicting account from the school manager suggests that the driver attributed the accident to the sudden appearance of a stray animal, which purportedly caused the vehicle to swerve uncontrollably and collide with the tree.
