The BJP mocked the AAP-Congress seat-sharing pact by saying, Chor chor mausere bhai

Following the announcement of a seat-sharing agreement between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari vehemently criticized the alliance, characterizing the parties' leaders as 'chor chor mausere bhai' (two thieves are maternal cousins) in a video message posted on X.

Tiwari asserted, "You must have heard 'chor chor mausere bhai'. That is what is happening between AAP and Congress." He highlighted the disillusionment among AAP and Congress workers, emphasizing Kejriwal's previous stance against Congress leaders and his current collaboration with them.

"AAP workers are disappointed because Arvind Kejriwal used to speak about putting Congress leaders in jail, but he is now at their feet. Congress workers are disappointed too. Arvind Kejriwal and AAP had ousted Congress from their 15 years of rule and now Kejriwal is sharing the stage with Rahul Gandhi," Tiwari remarked.

He further emphasized the enduring appeal of BJP and Narendra Modi, asserting that the people of Delhi would ultimately determine the outcome of the elections. Tiwari concluded by stating that the alignment of top AAP and Congress leaders indicated their ideological convergence.

Earlier in the day, the AAP and Congress had disclosed their seat-sharing arrangement for Delhi, Gujarat, Goa, and Haryana, with AAP contesting four Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and Congress three. Notably, all seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi were secured by the BJP in the 2019 polls.
