Unsettling "banging" from the imploding Titan sub is revealed by new audio

A recently unveiled documentary delving into the tragic Titan submarine implosion, which claimed the lives of five individuals, has brought to light an intriguing recording capturing banging sounds. These sounds, identified by the Canadian Air Force during the initial day of their search for the submerged vessel, have been made public for the first time in this documentary, as highlighted by Forbes.

The discovery of these eerie banging noises initially instilled hope among rescue teams, suggesting the possibility of survivors aboard the Titan following its loss of contact with the surface in June 2023.

Contrary to initial reports indicating that rescuers detected knocking sounds on the second day of the search, later confirmed on the third day, revelations from the Canadian Air Force disclosed that the banging was indeed heard from the onset of the rescue operation.

This significant audio excerpt is a featured component of the forthcoming documentary titled 'The Titan Sub Disaster: Minute by Minute,' scheduled for broadcast on British network Channel 5 on March 6 and 7 (local UK time).

Providing unprecedented insight, the Royal Canadian Air Force provided the voice recording to the documentary's producers, marking its debut in the public sphere.

Former Navy submarine Captain Ryan Ramsey, appearing in the documentary, remarked on the peculiar nature of the rhythmic knocking, noting its unusual repetition and the implication of deliberate human activity behind the sounds, as cited by The Independent.

The catastrophic event unfolded on June 18, 2023, when the deep-sea submersible, Titan, met its demise while on a mission to explore the wreckage of the RMS Titanic. Tragically, all five occupants aboard, including the pilot, mission specialists, and observers, lost their lives instantaneously.

Among the victims of the incident were OceanGate Expeditions CEO Stockton Rush, father and son Shahzada and Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
