Video: 3 miles of man being carried on a car's hood in Ghaziabad; driver faces formal charges

In Ghaziabad, an unsettling incident unfolded as a man found himself dragged precariously atop the bonnet of a car for a staggering distance of nearly 3 kilometres. The unsettling saga commenced amidst a vehicular collision, igniting a fiery confrontation between the involved parties. Despite valiant efforts by bystanders to intervene and halt the vehicle's relentless forward trajectory, the man remained perilously affixed to the car's bonnet, enduring the harrowing ordeal for an extended duration.

Circulating CCTV footage captured the gripping spectacle of a determined individual attempting to thwart the car's progress, only to be met with obstinate resistance from the driver, who callously persisted in dragging the hapless victim along the unforgiving asphalt.

It was not until the culmination of this distressing journey spanning 3 kilometres that the beleaguered man finally managed to extricate himself from the perilous predicament. Subsequently, he took decisive action by lodging a formal First Information Report (FIR) against the errant driver at the Kaushambi police station, initiating a legal recourse to address the egregious transgression.

Prompted by the filing of the complaint, law enforcement authorities sprang into action, swiftly apprehending the offending vehicle and initiating a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alarming incident. The wheels of justice are set in motion as officials diligently probe the matter to ascertain accountability and mete out appropriate consequences in accordance with the law.

In a separate but equally alarming occurrence, the law enforcement apparatus in Ghaziabad grappled with yet another instance of vehicular recklessness, as a motorist was arrested for executing a hazardous maneuver by driving in reverse for an exorbitant distance exceeding 2 kilometres along an elevated roadway in the Indirapuram locality.

A video purportedly capturing the surreal spectacle depicted a tense pursuit unfolding between a police vehicle and the errant driver, who resorted to evasive tactics in a bid to evade capture. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans Hindon), Dinesh Kumar, disclosed that the accused, identified as Kuldeep Sharma, was promptly apprehended and the vehicle seized following a diligent operation spanning three days.

The arrest was facilitated in response to a distress call received by law enforcement authorities, alerting them to the reckless conduct of an individual driving at breakneck speed on the roadway. Despite concerted efforts by the police to intercept the vehicle, the culprit brazenly defied lawful directives and resorted to dangerous maneuvers, ultimately culminating in his apprehension and subsequent judicial proceedings.
