Video: Lalu Yadav says, "Aayenge toh dekhenge," and holds the door wide for Nitish Kumar

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, in his capacity as the party's supremo, addressed the potential scenario of Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) chief and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar rejoining the Mahagathbandhan coalition following what appears to be another shift in stance.

Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed the ongoing willingness of the Mahagathbandhan alliance to welcome back Nitish Kumar should he opt to rejoin their ranks in the state of Bihar. Interacting with journalists on Friday, Lalu Yadav conveyed a sense of openness, stating, "If he chooses to return, then we will evaluate the situation."

Furthermore, the RJD leader emphasized the enduring nature of this invitation, asserting, "The door remains perpetually open."

Lalu Yadav's statements emerged in the aftermath of Nitish Kumar securing a vote of confidence in the Bihar assembly, garnering support from 129 legislators as the opposition staged a walkout. Subsequently, Nitish Kumar launched a blistering critique against his former deputy and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, alleging instances of corruption during the RJD's tenure in Bihar.

During the assembly proceedings, the Bihar Chief Minister decried the perceived lack of law and order under the RJD's governance, pledging to conduct thorough investigations into purported corrupt activities.

Nitish Kumar's recent realignment saw him reverting to the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) last month, thereby severing ties with the Mahagathbandhan, which previously comprised the JD(U), RJD, Congress, and Left allies. Following his oath-taking for an unprecedented ninth term as Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar reaffirmed his allegiance to the BJP, signaling a strategic shift in Bihar's political landscape.
