A producer with TMZ questions the veracity of the Kate Middleton video story

The authenticity of a video purportedly showing Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, shopping with Prince William has been called into question by TMZ executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere. The clip, released by TMZ and British tabloid The Sun, supposedly depicted Kate shopping at a farm shop on March 16, marking her first appearance since her surgery in January.

Initially, TMZ quoted eyewitnesses who described Kate as appearing "happy, relaxed, and healthy," asserting that it was "100% her" in the video. However, Latibeaudiere later expressed doubts about its authenticity, citing discrepancies in Kate's height, eyeline, chin, and walking style, as pointed out by social media users.

Latibeaudiere also mentioned that some viewers questioned the identity of Prince William in the video. He further questioned the reasons behind Kate's continued absence and the lack of transparency from the Palace, referencing a previous photo blunder involving an edited Mother's Day portrait of Kate and her children.

The release of the video reignited speculation and conspiracy theories on social media, with some suggesting that the woman in the video was not Kate Middleton or that it was staged. Despite the controversy, the Palace has yet to issue an official statement regarding the video's authenticity.
