A student in Uttar Pradesh protests when a car passes him and hits his bike, killing him



In Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district, a tragic incident unfolded on Monday as a law student named Amit Umar Vaishya lost his life in a shooting altercation, stemming from a confrontation initiated when a car overtook and collided with his motorcycle, according to police reports.

The unfortunate event transpired as Amit, accompanied by his brother, was journeying towards Madhosingh railway station, with their bike being struck by a swiftly overtaking car around 6 am in the Purushottampur locality, as detailed by Tejveer Singh, Additional SP, Bhadohi.

After the collision, a heated exchange ensued between Amit, his sibling, and the occupants of the car, leading to escalating tensions, Singh explained.

"Amid the altercation, one of the car occupants brandished a firearm, firing at Amit before fleeing the scene," elucidated the police official.

Despite immediate medical attention, Amit succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the hospital, leaving behind his pursuit of an LLB degree, as noted by his uncle Murari Chandra.

Meanwhile, in response to this distressing incident, law enforcement authorities swiftly mobilized six investigative teams, tasked with apprehending the perpetrators and unraveling crucial details related to the case.

Singh, the Additional SP, reassured that efforts are underway to swiftly bring the culprits to justice, underscoring the commitment of law enforcement agencies towards ensuring accountability and upholding the rule of law.
