Agra relatives attacked a disabled youngster, forcing him to have a pen put in his stomach

A 16-year-old adolescent, Vishnu Singh, who grapples with hearing and speech impairments, endured prolonged agony allegedly inflicted by his relatives, involving the insertion of a pen into his genital area. Although the distressing incident unfolded on February 5, Vishnu's incapacity to communicate his trauma to his parents resulted in enduring pain for several weeks. It wasn't until February 20, when his health deteriorated significantly, that his parents sought medical assistance and admitted him to Marigold Hospital in Shaheed Nagar.

Following Vishnu's admission, medical investigations unveiled the presence of a sharp object lodged in his stomach, prompting his transfer to Pathak Hospital in Basai Mandi on February 25. A subsequent surgical procedure on February 26 successfully extracted the pen from his body.

Medical examinations revealed that the pen had pierced Vishnu's rectum, with its pointed upper part penetrating into his stomach. Physicians cautioned that the insertion of the pen had precipitated a decline in Vishnu's health over time.

When probed about the ordeal, Vishnu disclosed that his uncle's sons—identified as Rajesh, Dinesh, Kunj Bihari, Jayanti, and Pushpendra—had assaulted him on February 5 before inserting the pen into his private parts.

According to Vishnu's father, Diwan Singh, upon his return home on February 5, Vishnu exhibited signs of distress and bore visible bruising on his body. However, despite their inquiries, Vishnu remained reticent about the incident.

Prompted by Diwan Singh's formal complaint, Taiganj Police Station has initiated an investigation into the matter, registering a case under Sections 377, 147, and 323 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), in addition to invoking the Sexual Offences Act 3 and 4.

Authorities assert that Vishnu became a target of the assault due to an ongoing land dispute between Diwan Singh and his cousins.
