Ahead of a mafia couple's wedding, five gunmen are detained in Delhi, and weapons are taken

According to officials, gangster Sandeep, famously known as 'Kala Jathedi', is set to enter matrimonial bonds with 'history-sheeter' Anuradha Choudhary, also known as 'Madam Minz', in a wedding ceremony scheduled for March 12 in the Dwarka area of Delhi. The Delhi Police, on Sunday, apprehended five sharpshooters associated with the criminal syndicates of Kala Jathedi and Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, originating from Haryana. This operation comes just days ahead of the planned nuptials of Kala Jathedi and Anuradha Choudhary.

The intervention by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police effectively thwarted the sharpshooters' alleged plot to eliminate rival gang members. Notably, the wedding festivities are slated to unfold in the Dwarka vicinity.

During the apprehension, law enforcement officers seized a cache of sophisticated weaponry from the arrested sharpshooters, including a PX-30 manufactured in China, a P-Beretta crafted in Italy, and 32 pistols.

Insiders revealed to India Today TV that Sandeep, known as 'Kala Jathedi', had suffered severe assaults during his confinement in Rohtak jail. Subsequently, he purportedly enlisted fresh recruits and devised strategies to retaliate against rival gang affiliates.

The impending wedding ceremony is anticipated to witness the deployment of approximately 250 police personnel, alongside Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) commandos equipped with advanced weaponry. The security contingent will encompass units from the special cell, crime branch, and Haryana's Crime Investigation Agency (CIA), as reported by news agency PTI.

Meanwhile, ongoing investigations by the Delhi Police seek to ascertain whether the five apprehended sharpshooters had intentions to attend Kala Jathedi's wedding in Dwarka or were plotting involvement in the celebration as part of the wedding entourage.

It's notable that Jathedi has previously evaded custody from Haryana Police and orchestrated the escape of his accomplice from Delhi Police custody. A Delhi court granted Jathedi a six-hour parole for his impending marriage, while Anuradha Choudhary also grapples with various criminal charges. Presently, Jathedi remains incarcerated in Delhi's Tihar Jail.

For the auspicious occasion, Jathedi will be escorted by a significant contingent of Delhi Police personnel from the Third Battalion unit, designated for transporting prisoners to and from the jail.

Kala Jathedi, closely affiliated with incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is entangled in numerous legal entanglements, including robbery, homicide, attempted murder, extortion, and violations of arms legislation across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
