The tragic death of Paruchuri Abhijit, a 20-year-old engineering student from Andhra Pradesh studying at Boston University, has shocked many. His body was discovered in an abandoned car deep within a forest on the university campus in the US. The perpetrators of this heinous crime have not yet been identified.

There are suspicions that Abhijit may have been targeted for money and his laptop. The circumstances surrounding his murder have raised questions, including the possibility of arguments with other students. Abhijit's family, devastated by the loss, described him as a bright student who had pursued education abroad to secure a better future.

Despite initial opposition, Abhijit's mother eventually supported his decision to study abroad, prioritizing his aspirations for his future. His parents, Paruchuri Chakradhar and Srilakshmi were in profound shock upon learning of their son's tragic fate.

Abhijit's remains were brought back to his hometown of Burripalem in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, where family, friends, and community members mourned his untimely death. This incident adds to a disturbing trend, as it marks the ninth attack on a person of Indian origin in the US in 2024, highlighting the need for increased awareness and vigilance regarding the safety of international students.
