One such incident unfolded in Pandebeswar, where Rina Thakur, a prominent figure within the BJP's Mahila Morcha, found herself at the center of turmoil. Allegations surfaced that members of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) had orchestrated an arson attack targeting Thakur's shop. She lamented a prolonged period of intimidation spanning six months since her affiliation with the BJP commenced. Thakur held TMC operatives responsible for the wanton destruction of her establishment and urged authorities to install CCTV surveillance in the vicinity for enhanced security measures.
Similarly, another troubling episode unfolded in Krishnanagar, Nadia district, where the residence of a Trinamool Congress leader bore the brunt of an assault on Saturday night. Khokon Khan, a local luminary within the Trinamool Congress's minority cell, fell victim to assailants who purportedly hurled explosive devices at his home.
