BJP MP who gave passes to trespassers in parliament is still "hopeful" to get a ticket

Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament (MP) Pratap Simha engaged in a meeting with Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agrawal, amidst swirling speculations regarding his candidacy for re-election under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) banner.

Pratap Simha, known for issuing a pass to intruders in Parliament on December 13 last year, expressed optimism about securing a party ticket for the upcoming election. However, in the event of a different outcome, he pledged his commitment to continue serving the party diligently.

Following the meeting with Radha Mohan Das Agrawal, Simha took to social media platform X, stating, "I just had an hour-long meeting with Dr. RadhaMohan Das Agarwal Sir. I have said it before and am saying it again, I am nothing without Narendra Modi Ji." He further expressed gratitude and hope for receiving the ticket or else vowed to remain steadfast in his support for the party's cause.

Additionally, Simha shared a photograph alongside Agrawal, indicating the cordial nature of their discussions.

Reports previously circulated suggesting disapproval from the BJP's Mysuru unit regarding Simha's candidacy, despite his two-term tenure as an MP from the state.

Addressing concerns over his involvement in the Parliament security breach incident, Simha clarified that he had no prior acquaintance with the accused individuals. He emphasized that the pass issued was a result of persistent requests from Sagar Sharma's father, to dissociate himself from any wrongdoing in the matter.
