BJP responds to Udhayanidhi Stalin's statement on the PM as a failed actor

Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin launched a scathing critique against the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing the Centre of reimbursing the state with a mere "28 paisa" for every rupee paid in taxes. Employing the term '28 Paisa Modi' as a pointed jab at the Prime Minister and his administration, Udhayanidhi Stalin's commentary has elicited a strong backlash from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin asserted that the BJP would find it futile to challenge his party, the DMK, within the state. He boldly challenged PM Modi to immerse himself in Tamil Nadu's political landscape for the ensuing 40 days preceding the Lok Sabha polls, asserting that even such prolonged involvement would not secure a single seat for the BJP in the state.

In a direct jab at PM Modi, Udhayanidhi Stalin remarked on the Prime Minister's recurrent visits to Tamil Nadu, denouncing him for purportedly disseminating falsehoods each time he addresses the public. He accused PM Modi of evading Tamil Nadu during times of crisis, such as floods or cyclones, only to materialize during electoral campaigns.

However, Udhayanidhi Stalin's critique of the Prime Minister elicited a swift and sharp retort from the BJP, with the party's state leader branding him as nothing more than a "failed actor."

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai took aim at DMK minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for his outspoken remarks against PM Modi, dismissing him as an unsuccessful actor who has leveraged his family's political legacy to ascend to ministerial status. Annamalai further derided Udhayanidhi Stalin's political relevance, questioning his credentials beyond his familial ties, and asserting that he pales in comparison to even the most insignificant aspect of PM Modi's stature.
