Days after the Lok Sabha snub, Pashupati Paras maintains his party is an integral part of NDA

Pashupati Paras, following his resignation from the Union cabinet, reaffirmed that the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) remains an integral part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). His statement came amidst speculations about RLJP's alignment with the opposition bloc after it was excluded from the NDA's seat-sharing pact for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Paras emphasized that RLJP considers itself an integral component of the NDA, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as its leader. He expressed confidence in the NDA's leadership under Modi, predicting a resounding victory in the upcoming elections, with the coalition securing over 400 seats nationwide.

The NDA recently announced its seat-sharing agreement, allocating five seats to the LJP led by Chirag Paswan. Paras's resignation from the central cabinet followed this decision. There were speculations about RLJP's potential collaboration with the opposition INDIA bloc in response to being left out of the NDA's arrangement.

However, Paras's statement on Saturday put an end to such speculations, reaffirming RLJP's commitment to the NDA alliance. His remarks underscored the party's loyalty to the coalition and its confidence in its leadership, dismissing any notions of joining the opposition alliance.
